By the Grace of G‑d
15th of Kislev, 5724 [December 1, 1963]
Brooklyn, N.Y.
Greeting and Blessing;
After the interruption, I received your letter of the 11th of Kislev, though it does not explain fully the reason for your prolonged silence. May G‑d grant that you should have good news to report about all the matters about which you write, and that you should always be, as you conclude in your letter, "very happy."
We are now in the auspicious days of Kislev, and will soon observe the 19th of Kislev, as well as Chanukah following it, which we will celebrate with the lighting of candles in growing numbers. May G‑d grant that there should be a growing measure of brightness for you, in the midst of all our people.
With the blessing of Chag HaGeulo,
P.S. As for your question regarding . . ., it would be advisable, if at all possible, to try that he should go to the Holy Land, to learn in one of the Yeshivoth of . . ., or the like.
