Kylie Ora Lobell is a freelance writer and personal essayist in Los Angeles. She writes for The Jewish Journal of L.A., Grok Nation, Aish and Tablet. She has a wonderful husband, comedian Danny Lobell, as well as two dogs, five chickens and a tortoise.
Danny was turned off by the Judaism of his youth. Kylie was not Jewish. Together, they found a path to Torah and observance that is uniquely joyful, meaningful, and most of all... theirs!
Though she is 13 years my junior, after every one-hour learning session with her, I leave feeling reinvigorated, ready to dive deeper into Judaism and to take on more mitzvot.

I live in Los Angeles, where wealth, celebrity, youth and beauty are valued above all else.
