Professor Martin Goodman teaches Jewish history and Roman history at the University of Oxford. He is a fellow in Jewish History in the Graeco-Roman Period and Academic Director of the Oxford Centre for Hebrew and Jewish Studies, as well as Professorial Fellow at Wolfson College, Oxford. Amongst the many books and articles he has authored and edited are Rome and Jerusalem: the clash of ancient civilizations (Penguin 2008) and The Oxford Handbook of Jewish Studies (Oxford University Press 2002).
