Hastening the Redemption

A visit by Rav Yochanan Sofer, Av Beis Din of Erloy. The Rebbe says: “Issue a rabbinic ruling that the world cannot proceed without Moshiach, and the Heavenly Court will be forced to comply.”

The Talmud, 1,500 years ago, already stated, “All ‘end-times’ for the Redemption have passed, it now awaits only repentance.” In 1941, my father-in-law, the Rebbe, launched an intense campaign that “Immediate repentance will bring immediate Redemption.”

Maimonides teaches us to imagine the world as hanging in the balance between good and evil. One action may be all that’s needed to tip the scales towards the good and bring salvation to the entire world.

The two central mitzvos of Sukkos—the sukkah and the Four Kinds—have at their core the theme of Jewish unity.

Is it in our hands to impact when Moshiach comes or is there a predetermined date for his arrival? Must we be ready for the redemption through doing Teshuvah?

The Talmud says that each new Jewish home, hastens Moshiach's arrival, and that the birth of every Jewish child hastens his coming (Collage).

Rebbi [Yehudah HaNassi] would say: Which is the right path for man to choose for himself? Whatever is harmonious for the one who does it, and harmonious for mankind. (Ethics of Our Fathers 2:1)
