The sages say that Jacob placed the males before the females, but Esau put the females before the males. I don’t understand why Esau’s action in placing women before the men was less moral than placing the women in the rear, as Jacob did.

We know that Jacob, and all the patriarchs, kept the commandments of the Torah that would be later given to their descendants. Why, then, did Jacob marry sisters, a direct prohibition?

Much like salmon, my sister and I live in constant fear of being snatched by a grizzly bear. In our case, that would be my father.
