B"H Rabbi Shishler,

It is a miracle that tonight, I was thinking of the account of Rabbi Zakkai and your discussion link arrived in my inbox! I could not remember the name of the Rabbi only the pertinent account of what Rabbi Zakkai has done for the continuation of Judaism. This thought process came about in relation to Torah, written oral Torah and consequent written discourses in relation to Torah which is a current JLI course

Rabbi Zakkai's actions (feigning end of life) was a mitzvah which acted as Teshuvah for any perceived transgressions. Therefore, at the end of human life these doubts of complete forgiveness may arrive.

The recollection that I wanted to share ( in personal thoughts) was Rabbi Zakkai was a major contributor to the continuation of written and oral Torah at great personal physical risk.

Todah for tonight. Reply
