Learning with Rabbi Warren Goldstein (English): Chief Rabbi of South Africa

Learn a beautiful teaching of the Lubavitcher Rebbe, in loving memory of Rabbi Jonathan Sacks. The source text is a sicha for parshat Vayechi from Likkutei Sichos vol.10—as adapted by Rabbi Sacks in his book “Torah Studies”. This sicha is being studied world-wide by Project Likkutei Sichos—an initiative to facilitate the learning of the sichos of the Rebbe.
Likkutei Sichot, Vayechi

Thank you, Rabbi Goldstein. Rabbi Sacks of Blessed Memory reminded us that there is a distinction between optimism and hope. He elevated hope beyond mere optimism: the hopeful among us must be proactive in our quest to fulfil hope, something that optimism alone does not require. Reply

I agree, this was very enjoyable to receive & contains good emotional intentions. I will have more confidence in speaking to members of the local Jewish community, once I have repaired my body from injury & worked out my spiritual goals for the year. Thank you for addressing in English, I appreciate very much! Reply
