When to Be Humble

When should we say "the world was created for my sake" and when should we say "I am but dust and ashes"?

So much wisdom.Thanks. When you are insulted it sounds like you should say it's Ok I'm nothing. I will try that. I had thought for a while when in insulted remind myself that I am something and not risk narichkeit. There are also times and insult can teach us something. I will definitely try what the Rabbi said, since I haven't done this in a long time. Reply

Rabbi that is so true, When a challenge presents itself to the area of the mind that provides enlightenment then that is what is asked of us from Hashem. Thus when the nations need time to accommodate for other light it is that of the dust that gives us time to reflect on more light. It is the Mishkan that holds the light for more good deeds provided by Hashem. Reply

Rabbi Greenberg you are giving the Rebbe z'tzal great nachas. May you continue to have this great Siyatta Dishmaya and keep making a Kiddush Hashem.
