Reuven and Gad and their cattle This last Shabbos, the question of the week posed by Rabbi Mendel Rivkin is why Reuven and Gad had more cattle than any other tribe. And I knew the answer from last week's class when it was said that they preferred to eat the monn over eating their cattle. Someone else expounded on this further, but at least I had an answer to offer that I learned from this class. Also, I feel like I will always remember this part to the Torah portion Mattot and the distinction between the two names of the staff, one that is still moist and one that is dried out.
