In verse 5, the Torah tells us that G-d blessed Potiphar the Egyptian on Joseph's account. Is it fair to infer from this that tzaddikim influence the lives of those around them? If so, does this also apply to non Jews? Is being a Jew a prerequisite to being a tzaddik? Reply

Maybe joseph was able to accept imprisonment and seeing things working out for the good when his clothes were stolen from him for the second time.
First, when his brothers were angered when he gave bad reports about them that were not entirely accurate.
The second, when a bad report was given about him that was incomplete. Reply

I greatly appreciate the teachings of Rav Gordon being offered on Chabad. The insight he brings forth and his sense of humor really helps me to study Torah and encourages me to be like Joseph--To be joyful in all things and to allow G-dliness to permeate not only me but everything around me. May his soul ascend to new heights each time a person watches his teachings. Reply
