With all due respect to Rashi, I don't understand how he could say that Adam&Eve were attached from behind, and then G-d split them.
It says, b'ferush, that G-d took one of Adam's ribs and formed Eve. A full body attached to Adam is not a rib.
Just a thought. Reply

in response to anonymous:

Since the Torah was not written in English, it doesn't actually say one of his "ribs." The word used is "tzalosav" which can mean one of "his sides." As proof for this interpretation, Rashi cites another instance in the Torah (Shemos 26:20) where the word "tzela" is used and there it very clearly means "side." Reply

Thank you 1) The reason you don't hear more laughter from my students is because the microphone I use does NOT pick up background noise. Intentionally.

2) Thank you for your warm words.

3) You would have to get in touch with Chabad.org management re: purchasing MP3 of my classes. Reply

Thank you I appreciate your knowledge and humor and wonder why I don't hear more bursts of laughter from your students, as I find myself doing listening to you teach Torah.
I learn so much and it's all so fascinating.
I would like to purchase the whole 5 books on an MP3,,, is that possible.

Thank you.

I could listen for hours. I just love it. Reply
