Losing the site of the bigger picture... The state of feeling sorry about our existence or feeling inferior of others is an appeal to pity and it's still the ego when any emotion is magnified and focused on and this darker ego becomes stronger and wants more pain and suffering not only for themselves but in some cases to take their suffering onto others. Compassion is important but their are some who suffer adversity and choose to look at the hopelessness and despair rather than the excitement of facing new challenges. The story of Moby Dick is about man facing moral ambiguity and sacrifices a whole ship to take revenge on a whale(nature symbolizing G_D) that took his leg. Captain Ahab refuses to take his suffering upon himself. So I believe an arrogant person who God humbles can miss the opportunity to build their character if they still focus on themselves. Arrogance becomes narcissistic which is a delusional state of acting as god which basically is what an atheist believes: Each is almighty Reply

Thank you Love this soooo much. Yes, yes, yes, true, true, true. If you want to know what G_d wants from you sit still and LISTEN. Let your own thoughts and considerations go time and time again and keep listening. All that remains is...? Reply

Idolatry and arrogance I feel Ben is a breath of fresh air in a world of air pollution and people who are bags of wind chasing their material delusions. Reply

What God wants is this ... The answer is super simple !!

What He wants from you is to come and start to knowing Him

It hath been told thee, O man, what is good, and what G-d doth require of thee: only to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy G-d.
Michah 6:8

Thus saith G-d: Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom, neither let the mighty man glory in his might, let not the rich man glory in his riches;

But let him that glorieth glory in this, that he understandeth, and knoweth Me, that I am G-d who exercises mercy, justice, and righteousness, in the earth; for in these things I delight, saith G-d.
