The Disappearing World The physical world that we create through out flawed qualities will disappear after we have efforted to corrected our self to behave like G_d. Then we will all move closer towards His world where we will live in a boundless world of Peace and Love, Ein Sof. Reply

Refuse to sanctify the land of Israel, and pray to the material idols of the alien nations: lambs to the slaughter.

Depend on other nations instead of G-d and our own hands for protection: lambs to the slaughter.

Pray inside, while the wolves/Germans/Arabs are knocking down the door: lambs to the slaughter.

Unfortunately, lambs are stupid creatures, and do not learn quickly, if ever!

Path of pleasantness and peace? Studying with a Chabad Rabbi weekly, I am very familiar with the philosophy of spreading Torah, and not offending anyone, or "rocking the boat". Where are the prophets to wake us up from our sleep. The Temple has not been rebuilt, we are surrounded by enemies who wish our destruction, babies are killed in the furnaces of Morach, and iniquity reins across the land. And we should walk softly, and pray quietly for peace. NO!!!

IF we as Jews do speak up loudly, so that even the angels in Heaven hear, who will? We must pick up the Torah with our right hand, and with a sword in the left, go out and prepare to confront evil. Those who remain in their synagogues praying for peace, will be killed just like the Jews in Germany. The time is coming when we will have to choose to fight on the side of G-d, or perish with the alien nations. People's eyes are closed, and their ears do not hear the coming storm. The time for peace is coming to an end. get ready! Be a Torah warrior! Reply

to Boaz D Very interesting argument. The Torah is fraught with conflict internal and external but perhaps once the final conquest for the Land is accomplished, peace can characterize the final stage--- the Moshiach stage ---and our task is to do what we can to merit him. Or not. Perhaps mankind's existence isn't compatible with peace and only G-d's grace can bring that final fulfillment. I'm glad you brought this up. Reply

There is a time for peace and a time for war Ecclesiastes 3:8 says that there is a time for war and a time for peace. So while we love peace and strive for a peaceful existence, we have to be ready to fight if we have to. Like Solomon said in Ecclesiastes 3, there is a time for everything. So pray for peace, strive to live peaceably with all, but never let your guard down and always be ready for battle. Reply

Torah is not for everyone There are different people in this world. People with different beliefs and morals. I dont think it is our job to create a singular consciousness according to one's personal belief.
I think my job is to be selfless enough to be compassionate towards others without judging them using my own truth.
Respect and understanding are the first steps in living in a world where the universe is manifested in many different ways.
Can you find your own happiness by seeing someone else happy who has never read a Torah? Reply

I agree. I too love peace, though sometimes in a world where the leader of a country calls for the annihilation of his neighbors because they are of a different race or religion makes that difficult.

peace It appears to me that we Jews are very confused...when Moses came down for with the big ten did he make peace with the ones who made the idol..when the tribe was headed to the promise land did they make peace with all the peoples...and don't forget the fore skin story,,,was that a peaceful end???
Does the shark make peace...peace is a fallacy of men....it's not Torah based in my humble opinion..like the kippa...you will find it no palce in the black and white... Reply
