Yea we got 9/10...on the question of who foretold Ismael's birth...I really believed it was Sarah's idea who told Avraham to take her slave-girl... I'd like to see the scriptures that says it was foretold by the Angel of G-D if someone can help me with that I'll appreciate it Reply

I felt I had to reply to this young lady..as she's doing the mitzva of kibud av ve'em..of doing what her mother asked her, to wash the dishes. ..I couldn't resist to ask a really hard question though..for all.. there is a place in Tanach where an expression is used.. actually quite negatively (against Jerusalem).. of cleaning up the plate.. in regards to a certain king who acted very badly.. Who was the king..? (sorry the question is quite hard..).. Reply

Your comment is so precious. It brought back memories of when I was a little girl, and had to do the dishes verses something else I would rather be doing. It's important to listen to mommy, and do what she ask. It will make both GD and mommy happy, it will show that you are being a big girl, and are being responsible. The wonderful thing about Chabad quizzes is that they will always be there for you to take when ever you are ready to do them.

There was no significance for 13 yrs old. It just happened to be Ishmael's age when God gave the decree for circumcision (Gen. 17). Reply
