On 22 Shevat in the year 5748 (1988), the Rebbetzin passed away. In the days and weeks that followed, it became clear just how central she was to the life work of her illustrious husband.

“Thank you to those who have begun new projects and institutions in the Rebbetzin’s memory…The Rebbetzin was educated by her father, the Rebbe, Rabbi Yosef Yitzchak Schneersohn. She merited that many Jewish girls carry her name and are educated in her spirit and by her example.”

Everlasting Bond
At a wedding, we hear it said that a marriage is “an everlasting edifice.” This holds true even in the face of a tragedy which seems to contradict it.

No Better Time
It would be appropriate to perform good deeds in memory of the Rebbetzin. Her first name was Chaya, meaning “life.” That applies even after the life of the person, until the Resurrection. I hope it will be very soon.
