If you have been disclosed life's greatest secrets from an authentic teacher who has reached a spiritual degree then teach this wisdom to all whose hearts are open.

Teach where we descended from, who we are, why we are in this world and ow to reach our goal.

This is our responsibility to mentor all humanity to reach their destiny. We must be a light to all. Reply

What is it that we are learning? what is being taught? ultimately, i believe, we are learning G-d. who and what G-d is. and who and what we are in, within, that context. context of all contexts. known and knowing. one.
How is this taught? by simply being. consciously, gloriously, thankfully one, in and with G-d. and each other. Reply

I would like to share and bless the righteous memory of Helen N. Fagin [1918-2022]. She was a Holocaust survivor, educator, professor of Judaic Studies, a scholar, wife, mother, and precious loved one. Her beloved quote states,
"There are times when dreams sustain us more than facts."
While in the Nazi ocuppied Warsaw Ghetto of Poland, Mrs. Fagin secretly taught Jewish children mathematics, Latin, and literature. Her focus on the novel "Gone With The Wind" and the character Scarlett O'Hara, brought hope and liberated students caught in the horrors of Nazism. She lived "fully" to the age of 104. What an excellent model to emulate in our service to others and in teaching our children.

Teach This is true, and include the teaching/sharing with non-Jews as well.
There tends to be a sense of exclusion of non-Jews that sets the Jewish culture apart from others, and if non-Jews understood the reasoning behind the Jewish practices, Judaism would receive support from many non-Jews. Teach, Share and Enlighten. Reply

The Spiritual Teacher Spirituality cannot be expressed in words.
The spiritual teacher can only guide you to attain the spiritual senses you need to reveal G_dliness in your heart Reply

Dear friends who do not have the students,
Go to jnet.org and become a volunteer. I found my teacher there.

There is enough work for everybody: most of the Jews in this country do not study Torah, do not know Hebrew, and do not participate in any Jewish activities. (Not ethnic, not social - but Jewish, related to Torah and Mitzvot.)

I wish you good students and fruitful teaching.

P.S. I can not agree with "It is more important to Teach than to learn." It is one process. We do not have any right to teach if we do not learn. And we learn while we teach. Reply

How should we handle the most difficult students, our own adult or growing up children?Our teachings fall on their deaf ears. They say they know already and do not want to hear it... A teacher appears when a student is ready, it's so true! Otherwise it is all creating a family war when we hear" Mom, all you do is to teach us, be a silent mom, a friend, trust me, let me make my own mistakes,we have enough teachers at school, enough". So much we want to teach those we love the most, but they do not want us as teachers.... what do we do, Rabbi? It creates a huge gap when they keep secrets and distance trusting unloving aunts, uncles and uncaring friends rather than us, the teachers at home. Reply

teaching Dear Rabbi Tzvi,
I have what to teach, but where are all my willing students? I study Judaism and Hebrew every day, and am deeply involved in writing poetry, screenplays, articles and songs.
By the Grace of G-d I've brought some family members to observance of Shabbat and holidays, but I pray that G-d will use my skills in a broader way.

Sometimes the teacher is willing, but the students are not ready!

there is still room... Even with the global access there is still a need and will always be a need for teachers. No everyone learns by reading. Teachers have to see how someone learns and adapt their style so that the student is more receptive to the lesson.
The written word is not interpreted the same by all. We write, talk and act according to the syntax (and combination of) they are most comfortable with.
Even I who has a learning disability with language teaches. If not the aleph-bet than the love that G-d has for us.
Being a teacher is not always standing up in front of a class. Teaching is as small as handing a child a flag to wave during Simchat Torah and dancing with them. To hold a grand daughters hand while you light Shabbat candles.
We will never outgrow teachers. Reply

and yet.... and yet, as a teacher, i see myself becoming more and more redundant as knowledge becomes so accessible. It would seem to me that the vision is that everyone will learn and not need a teacher. Perhaps a few mega-teachers like yourself will remain to create the wonderful kind of knowledge available on chabad.org(your meditation on the 4 species being a good example of that)! Reply
