On Simchat Torah the chassidim of Rabbi Naftali of Ropshitz danced in circles and their rabbi watched them from a window. All of a sudden he raised his hand and they stopped. Rabbi Naftali stood silent for a while and stared in the distance, but then he gestured them to continue and said: "When an officer falls in battle, will the ranks of the soldiers disperse and flee...?!"
Later the chassidim found out that exactly at the moment they were told to stop, the Ulaner Rebbe, a friend of Rabbi Naftali, had passed away.
