If you like pizza, you'll probably like these little bite-sized puffs. I used olives, but if you don't like them you can use mushrooms, peppers or just the sauce and cheese.

Before you start
- Always check that you have all your ingredients before you begin cooking.
- Wash your hands.
- Make sure your work space is clean. Move any papers or things that might be lying around out of the way so they don't get dirty or ruined.
- Ask an adult to help you put the trays in and out of the hot oven.
For this recipe you will need:
Ingredients
- 2 sheets puff pastry
- 1 cup shredded cheese (mozzarella, pizza, cheddar, muenster or other cheese of your choice)
- ½ cup marinara sauce, or seasoned tomato sauce
- ¼ cup olives, sliced
- ¼ cup feta cheese, crumbled
- spray oil
Tools:
- 1 small bowl
- 1 set of measuring cups
- 1 rolling pin
- 1 small round cookie cutter or cup
- 1 baking pan
- 1 fork
Recipe yields approximately 20 pizza puffs
Step 1: Prepare the filling
Mix the sauce, cheese, olives and feta together in a small bowl. If you don't like olives, you can use another vegetable, like mushrooms or peppers. Or, if you, prefer, just use the sauce and cheese.

Step 2: Roll out the pastry
Use a rolling pin to roll out the puff pastry so it's nice and thin. Using a small cookie cutter (or a narrow glass), cut out lots of circles.

Step 3: Assemble the puffs
Place a small spoonful of filling in the center of half the circles. You don’t want to put too much filling or the pastry will be difficult to seal.

Cover each circle with another puff pastry circle. Using the ends of a fork, gently press down around the edges, sealing the two layers of puff pastry. If your edges have dried out, dip the fork in water before you press down.

Step 4: Bake 'em!
Carefully pick up the pizza puffs and place them on a greased baking tray. They don’t spread much so you can put them pretty close to each other if you’re short on space. Spray the top of each puff with spray oil (or brush with egg, oil, or water) and bake for 25-30 minutes at 350°F.

Step 5: Eat 'em!
Well done! You've mastered the art of making pizza puffs. Ready to taste your creation?

Warning: The filling gets extremely hot, so it’s best to wait 5-10 minutes before biting into them.
